Neither race nor gender should have any bearing on what someone earns. We at Aditya Birla Yarn pay men and women equally for equal work. Helping women stay connected and developing their skills while they’re on maternity leave, or facilitating their return to work. Offering equal care is a no-brainer.
Supporting women in the workplace doesn’t end with paying them fairly. It means involving them too; listening to their thoughts, considering their opinions and making sure they are represented in decisions. We talk to our women, let them speak for themselves and use that information to strengthen the company.
We diverse our workforce not only to have a more varied skill set, but are also more lucrative. We put them forward for promotions, invest in their skills and protect space for their development at the managerial level.
Creating a safe workplace for women and take meaningful action against sexism by providing positive work culture. Help to prevent, highlight and report unacceptable situations and behaviour – and actually take action.
Whether a woman is childless or has five kids, whether she’s single or dating, none of this should ever come into professional decisions. There is no such thing as a “gendered brain”. We treat them with respect, dignity and equal validity. We also celebrate women’s successes in a way that’s meaningful to them.

ABY promotes a positive working environment of career growth without discriminating the gender, to enable me to reach my potential as per my educational background in Magister Management.
PPC MANAGER (SECTION HEAD PPC)
Last few months have been a thrilling roller coaster ride for me, as I had moved to Indonesia right before the onset of Pandemic and recently got an opportunity to be associated with ABY. In the past months, it looks like world of opportunity with immense learning on the various aspects of the business.
I am thankful to my team member for sharing the knowledge, involving in key business discussion and sorting out my numerous queries online in these tough times. I must say, as a woman I have been treated equally by all the team members in ABY, which gives me confidence and assurance of a valuable career ahead.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPUTY MANAGER
I joined ABY since 1st April 2008, it is now more than 12 year. From single, dating, married and now I am a mother of 2. When I first joined ABY, I did not have an in depth knowledge in export but with guidance from my in line managers and colleagues then I am able to manage the expectations.
They never give up on me, they have taught and mentored me.
Here in ABY, all are like family, if we have trouble they will always ready to help not only in work matters but also with personal matters.
The last 2 years the management has given me the opportunity to become CS Deputy Manager for 3 units. When they offered me, I said no because I didn’t want to get out of my comfort zone, where I was already an expert at my job and thinking about managing people scares me. But ABY always believe in me, gave me the necessary support so now I am confidence in my role.
Finally, I can step outside my comfort zone, learn how to organize people and see others perspectives from different point of view. ABY is such an empowering place to work especially for women
WCM (WORLD CLASS MANUFACTURING) DEPARTMENT
I started my extraordinary journey on ABY since January 2013, I joined when I was still studying in semester 7. I feel so lucky and blessed that ABY gave me the opportunity to work even when I was still in college at that time.
With the support and guidance from manager I learned and adapted with my job role in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) Department.
I have learn over the years that ABY really gives me the opportunity to develop my career and experience. In the fifth year of my career, I was promoted as Management Cadre in Business Excellence Section. I am sure ABY will give us a good opportunity to improve career for everyone without any discrimination between man and woman.
I have received lots of love, great friends that turn into second family and of course good leadership in this group. It gives me a great learning at every point in my life especially if we work with sincerity and give our best.
